Experience

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California MFC license #34867) who specializes in relationship issues with both individuals and couples. I have experience working with a diverse range of people, including couples in mixed race/culture relationships, inter-faith relationships, and members of the LGBTQQI community. I have been working in the counseling and human services field since 1989 and have been in private practice in Berkeley for over sixteen years. I serve on the teaching faculty at Pacific Center for Human Growth where I train graduate students in the practice of psychotherapy.

Training and Presentations

I have lectured and taught on:

  • Dysregulation in couples and how to create a self-repairing system
  •  Attachment issues in adoption and their effect on parenting
  • Inter-locking vulnerabilities in family systems
  • Communication patterns in extrovert/introvert couples

Consultation

I provide clinical consultation to experienced therapists interested in ongoing professional development in their work, as well as with newly licensed therapists exploring how to build self-confidence while finding their own voice.  My approach is interactive and is based on a psychodynamic and relational perspective. If you are interested in discussing consultation, please feel free to contact me.
